ZNC Poster Series

A culturally rooted promotional identity and poster series for the 67th Zonal NASA Convention, blending historic Mughal architecture with contemporary graphic sensibility.

Previous Zonal NASA Convention posters failed to evoke a sense of connection with the host city. They were often sparse architectural collages that lacked contextual significance and failed to capture both the venue's distinct character and local culture.

solution

A cohesive visual identity was developed to communicate the event's essence while aligning with Lucknow's rich architectural heritage. By combining warm sunset tones, heritage symbols, and a bold typeface, the design ensures a strong digital presence for social media while maintaining deep cultural resonance.

The Brief

The objective was to design an engaging and culturally rooted promotional poster for the 67th Year of Zone 4 Zonal NASA Convention (ZNC) held at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, AKTU, Lucknow.

Design Concept

The design language bridges historic Mughal architecture with a modern graphic approach, drawing direct inspiration from Lucknow's famous Rumi Darwaza.

To solve the issue of past posters feeling disconnected from their host cities, this identity leans heavily into local context. The warm sunset tones and heritage symbols immediately indicate cultural depth. Simultaneously, the layout utilizes a bold, highly legible typeface to guarantee a strong, adaptable digital presence across social media platforms, event handbooks, and physical merchandise.
